Shortly after the start of the War of 1812, Congress authorized the establishment of the 2nd and 3 red Regiments of U.S. artillery. The 2nd U.S. Artillery participated in several campaigns during the war serving both as artillerists and as infantry.
The 2nd was also at Fort Meigs during the siege of 1813 and this beautiful reproduction was created for the interpreters at this site.
We have commissioned a small production run of these to be used as lapel pins or tie tacks with clutch backs. Each one comes in an attractive hinged top jewelry box
