This Eastern Woodland Indian warrior is armed with a .62 Caliber smooth bore musket specifically made for trade with the natives in North America. A powder horn and traditional deerskin pouch hold powder and ball for the musket. Many items of this warrior’s dress are made from European textiles that have been fashioned into traditional dress such as the leggings and the breechcloth. The war club he wields is a formidable weapon fashioned from the root burl of a tree and often carved with additional designs. This war club is truly artistic in appearance with a prominent curved handle decorated with brass tacks. A steel trade knife hangs from his neck in a sheath decorated with porcupine quills.
